It was a late midsummer night.  Winkel & Balktick searched block after block for the nocturnal paradise of their dreams.  With each passing hour, the hope that the bottle service swindles would give way to dens of pleasure and imagination faded.

As they were about to concede defeat, they noticed faint emanations of celestial sound and light from a nearby warehouse.  A man in a red silk robe greeted them with a mischievous grin.  “We’ve been expecting you.”

What they beheld next brought tears of joy to their eyes: A clandestine metropolis of imperial grandeur and libertine attractions.  Scantily-clad citizens and eccentric shopkeepers kept them entertained  until broad daylight.
